The (Revolution of Steve Jobs), composer Mason Bates and librettist Mark Campbell’s operatic exploration of the Apple visionary, will run February 23–March 9. Sharing the role of the Verdi heroine Lenora are Leah Crocetto and Angela Meade (set to appear in the Met’s Semiramide in February). Il Trovatore will follow January 12–26, 2019. The cast includes Elizabeth Caballero, Ben Bliss, Maria Zifchak, Marcy Stonikas, and Soraya Mafi. Garnett Bruce will stage the Seattle engagement.īenjamin Britten’s haunting The Turn of the Screw will appropriately lead up to Halloween, running October 13–27. The Francesca Zambello production, hailing from Glimmerglass Opera, also features costumes by Hamilton Tony winner Paul Tazewell. The cast will include Alfred Walker and Kevin Short sharing the role of Porgy with Angel Blue (who made her Metropolitan Opera debut this season in La Bohème) and Elizabeth Llewellyn singing Bess. The Gershwin opera heads to the Washington venue August 11–25.
